Twitch values your privacy and wants you to be familiar with how we collect, use, and disclose information from and about you. This Privacy Notice describes our privacy policy for our candidates.
This Privacy Notice covers all candidates for employment directly by Twitch Interactive, Inc. (with its affiliates, “Twitch” and “we”). It also applies anywhere it is linked. Depending on where you live, one or more of our country- or region-specific notices providing additional information may also apply.
This Privacy Notice does not cover candidates for employment by any company other than Twitch. Information collected on behalf of Twitch’s parent company, Amazon.com or its non-Twitch affiliates or subsidiaries (collectively, “Amazon”) is subject to Amazon’s Global Candidate Privacy Notice and Data Policy, which we encourage you to review for information about how Amazon collects and uses personal information of employment candidates.

We obtain information about you through the means discussed below when you are an employment candidate of Twitch. Twitch controls what personal information is collected and how it is used. In some countries, this role is referred to as the “controller.”
We may collect and use the following types of personal information about you (some or all may apply to you):
Much of the personal information we process is obtained from you, but we also obtain personal information about you in the course of the application process (for example, during interviews or via job assessments). Other data types may be obtained from third parties, including, for example, from professional networks and recruitment agencies.
Generally, the personal information we collect helps us manage your recruiting and hiring process, conduct Twitch’s businesses, and comply with Twitch’s legal obligations. Please note that we need certain types of information in order to facilitate these activities. If you do not provide us with such personal information, or ask us to delete it, it may impact our ability to evaluate your candidacy or employment by Twitch.
Collecting and using your information enables us to administer the recruiting process, including setting up an electronic job applicant HR file; managing your application; conducting assessments; organizing interviews, including arranging or reimbursing for your travel; providing accommodations; processing interview feedback; on-boarding; and conducting background checks and screening. Your information may also be used to notify you about other Twitch job opportunities. We may process your personal information to meet recordkeeping and internal and external reporting responsibilities. Your information may also be used in investigations or as needed in legal proceedings.

Twitch will provide notice before sharing personal information other than as set out in this Privacy Notice, except where such notice is prohibited or not required by law.
We may store, process, and transfer your personal information in the United States, the country or region in which you are located, reside, or work, or in any other country where Twitch and Amazon, or Twitch’s and Amazon’s affiliates, subsidiaries, partners, or service providers are located or maintain facilities (for example, when we our one of our service providers uses employees or equipment in other countries). If we transfer your personal information outside of your country or region, we will take appropriate measures to ensure the recipients protect your information adequately in accordance with this Privacy Notice and applicable law.
We use a variety of managerial, technical, and physical measures to protect the integrity and security of your information, including measures to protect against unlawful or unauthorized processing and accidental loss or damage. These measures may vary based on the sensitivity of your information. However, no security precautions or systems can be completely secure. We cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to Twitch, and you do so at your own risk. We cannot guarantee that such information may not be accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed by breach of any of our physical, technical, or managerial safeguards.
If your application for employment is successful and you commence employment with Twitch, your personal information will be retained and processed in accordance with our internal policies and practices applicable to data concerning personnel.
If your application for employment is not successful, and depending on local laws, we will generally keep your personal information beyond the end of the application process for the purposes of (i) contacting you for future job vacancies, (ii) to meet recordkeeping requirements, and (iii) for potential use in legal proceedings.
Depending on the laws of the country or region where you are located, reside, or work, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information. Information about these rights may be provided in one or more of the country- or region-specific notices listed at the beginning of this Privacy Notice. This Canada Addendum to our Privacy Notice provides additional information about how we collect and use the personal information of our Canadian candidates.
This Addendum covers all employment candidates of Twitch Interactive Canada ULC (“Twitch Canada”). It also applies anywhere it is linked.
This Addendum does not cover candidates for employment by any other Twitch entity or company other than Twitch. Candidates for employment by another Twitch entity should review our Global Employment Candidate Privacy Notice. We encourage candidates for employment by Amazon.com or its non-Twitch affiliates or subsidiaries (collectively, “Amazon”) to review Amazon’s Global Candidate Privacy Notice and Data Policy for information about how Amazon collects and uses personal information of employment candidates of Amazon.
In most cases, we collect, use, and disclose your personal information with your knowledge and consent. However, please note that we may collect, use, and disclose personal information from candidates without consent where it is reasonable to do so for purposes of recruiting, managing, or terminating prospective, current, and former personnel. We may also collect, use, and disclose your personal information without consent for reasonable purposes in other contexts, in accordance with applicable law.
Your personal information will be exclusively accessible to the following categories of employees, and only on a need-to-know basis in each case, if it is needed for the performance of their duties, including, but not limited to: Human Resources, Finance, Information Security, Loss Prevention, Talent Acquisition, Legal Partners, People Managers and Information Technology teams.
